BC Technical Architect - Support
The Role:
The BC Technical Architect will play a large role in designing, implementing and supporting the technical architecture of the solution that includes high- and low-level designs, data modeling, data integration, data migration, tool configuration and customizations. This role will perform a wide variety of functions within the company and for customers, requiring a high degree of technical expertise. These functions would include Dynamics installations and configuration, hardware sizing, performance tuning, upgrade assessments, design environments, development, technical health checks, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
System Design and Architecture
- Contribute to technical design and architecture sessions with clients and support team to gather and document requirements for integrations, migrations, reporting and customizations.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Assist with creating designs for BC systems, ensuring they align with business goals and technical requirements.
- In collaboration with stakeholders, build out POCs to analyze ambiguous technical customer situations and to determine appropriate solutions as necessary.
- Install and configure Microsoft Dynamics BC, including multiple environments, like Azure.
- Provide technical incident and integration work.
- Focus on the evaluation, design, customization, and optimization of Digital and Cloud based solutions.
- Work with IT Partners of clients to design, configure, test, and deploy changes considering their security, performance, and scalability requirements.
- Work with support teams to configure integrations for BC and CE.
Project Management and Leadership
- Assist with technical pre-sales efforts as needed.
- In collaboration with stakeholders, provide technical oversight across multiple cases or projects.
- Perform code reviews and ensure best practices are being adhered to by development team on engagements.
Compliance and Security
- Ensure systems adhere to industry regulations and security standards
Client Support
- Create detailed documentation for architecture and processes and provide training to team members and end-users.
- Collaborate with customers and Team Members alike through design and implementation, including needs, analysis and system requirements.
- Advise clients on best practices for Dynamics 365 BC, development, integration, and migration processes.
Who you are:
- 9+ years of software development experience
- Experience with successful implementations of solutions.
- Gathering requirements, crafting the perfect configuration, testing, training, documentation, and troubleshooting? It's all in a day's work for you.
- You have experience leading teams, and you want to work with the best of them.
- You love to share the solution with customers, presenting them with confidence and navigating difficult conversations when client desires and ideal systems aren’t aligned.
- You understand the importance of change management and ensure everything is on point.
- When issues arise, you are eager to find a solution. You'll resolve them faster than a speeding ERP system, avoiding project disasters or pesky escalations.
- Dynamics BC Development certification preferred.
- Dynamics BC functional training and/or certifications a plus.
- Experience installing and configuring Microsoft Dynamics BC, including multiple environments, like Azure.
- Excellent Verbal and Written Communications
- Strong Problem-solving skills
- Excellent Time Management skills
- Experience juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to present to technical, non-technical and executive level individuals.
